Sonographers must be early birds to use new additions

King’s Mill Hospital, part of the Sherwood Hospital Foundation Trust, has upgraded its equipment in its busy ultrasound department with three Toshiba ultrasound systems.

It is anticipated that the systems will enhance the service provided throughout the department as they have been installed in three different locations.

Lead sonographer Ann Allen said: “We are very pleased with our new equipment and the flexibility it gives us to provide our entire range of ultrasound examinations.  The sonographers have adapted easily to using the image optimisation features – we have to be in early in the morning to get our hands on the new machines.”
