South Liverpool NHS Treatment Centre praises image quality from new floor-mounted system

South Liverpool NHS Treatment Centre, part of Royal Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, has received a floor-mounted Carestream Health DRX-Compass installed by Medray. Although the trust had a very tight timescale to complete the installation and was dealing with many different partners, everything went to plan.

It was not possible to fit a ceiling-mounted x-ray system due to the building structure, so a floor-mounted option was chosen. Although the DRX-Compass system is marketed as a value option, a trust representative says the resulting images are ‘top-notch’, that dose is low and the user interface is intuitive.

The installation has brought South Liverpool NHS Treatment Centre in line with Royal Liverpool University Hospital, which is also a Medray site.

Working with Medray account manager Sam Parker was a pleasant experience, according to the trust. “He was very customer focused and eager to provide the best solution for our site and budget.”

“The install engineers Hugh Merritt and Will Cook carried out the installation in good time and with the minimum of fuss. Both the engineers were extremely professional and very knowledgeable of the kit,” the representative continued.

“Apps training by Shweb Rehman was great and he will be coming back to see how we are getting on and help us with the roll out to new staff.”
