Change Healthcare’s technology will move the region’s medical imaging into the cloud.
Change Healthcare and South West London Acute Provider Collaborative (SWLAPC) are working together to improve the patient experience, provide long-term efficiencies, and enhance medical imaging operations with cloud technology for the region’s National Health Service.
Change Healthcare will offer its enterprise imaging radiology solutions in the cloud, as a service, including picture archiving and communication system (PACS), workflow, image sharing, and vendor neutral archive. The solutions will deliver modern functionality that will support the SWLAPC with its commitment to transform clinical care delivery and patient outcomes.
As host contract holder, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust leads the agreement for SWLAPC. The regional collaboration comprises four NHS Trusts: Epsom and St Helier, Croydon Health Services, St George’s University Hospitals, and Kingston Hospital.
Peter Davies, group chief digital officer for St George’s, Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Group and senior responsible officer for the contract, commented: “We are very pleased to have agreed to this contract with Change Healthcare, which will deliver a dynamic, secure solution that will enable our staff to quickly gain the best information and provide the best care possible across the four SWLAPC trusts.”
Change Healthcare’s enterprise imaging cloud solutions help NHS trusts and healthcare providers adhere to the NHS Architectural Principle of “Public Cloud First.”
“We are delighted to have been awarded this contract for the provision of Change Healthcare’s enterprise imaging cloud solutions to the SWLAPC,” said Tracy Byers, senior vice president and general manager, Enterprise Imaging at Change Healthcare. “By working together with Epsom and St Helier and the wider SWLAPC to move their medical imaging to the cloud, we can transform patient care delivery and create operational efficiencies.”
