South West’s mobile x-ray units are manoeuverable

Radiographer Caroline Moore, radiographer aid Heather Johnston, Philips field service engineer Gary Kane, account manager Morgan Evers, radiology department manager Hazel Garrett, Philips operations manager Billy Nolan, applications specialist Helen Turner and radiographers Avril Irwin and Laura Bingham.

South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, opened in June this year and has four Philips MobileDiagnost wDR x-ray units.   The systems offer the same image quality as a full DR room, but in a mobile.

Radiology department manager Hazel Garrett said: “We chose the wDR as it seemed to be the most easily manoeuvrable, intuitive system on the market, providing a high quality image, with a usable quality assurance package.  The radiography staff find them a delight to use.”
