SPECT/CT additions meet approval at Tallaght

With a Symbia T16 SPECT/CT at Tallaght Hospital are consultant radiologist Dr John Feeney, project manager Anna Groarke, clinical specialist radiographer Róisín Bisland, consultant radiologist Dr Brendan Hogan, clinical specialist radiographer Sarah Scollard, radiographer Ely Maghinang, Siemens customer support engineer Garrett Clancy and regional account manager Patrick Doherty.
Tallaght Hospital in Dublin has installed two Symbia SPECT/CT systems in its nuclear medicine department to be used in a range of procedures including urology, cardiology, oncology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology and musculoskeletal.
Siemens Healthcare in Ireland supplied Symbia T16 SPECT/CT and T2 SPECT/CT systems, along with a Symbia.net clinical workflow server to enable radiologists to process and report patient studies from a networked PC, regardless of location.
“Our nuclear medicine department is at the forefront of imaging technology in Ireland,” said consultant radiologist Dr Brendan Hogan. “The outstanding flexibility of Symbia.net facilitates us to report from anywhere in the department and further afield.”
