Hologic clinical applications specialist Islam Ali, specialist radiographers Caroline Hi and Melanie Myall, lead general mammographer Diane Hunter and Hologic breast health sales specialist Kathryn Cooke.

Spire Gatwick Park Hospital at Horley has installed a Hologic Selenia 2D Dimensions mammography system for its breast imaging examinations, as part of mammography system upgrades across the Spire Healthcare Group.

The hospital is a partner for Breast Health UK and the BUPA Wellness programme.  One-stop breast clinics and screening services of BUPA Wellness provide an increasing, mixed caseload of 90 or more examinations a month.

Lead general radiographer Diane Hunter said: “The equipment provides enhanced capabilities, enabling us to deliver a more efficient service.  Its user-friendly design and increased patient comfort have been appreciated by all the staff.  Furthermore our radiologists have been impressed with the image quality in our mammograms.  We also have one eye on the future if the company decides to move towards 3D imaging as our Hologic unit can be easily upgraded.”
