Spire Liverpool looks forward to offering spinal injections

News

Seated on the couch are radiology team leader Alun Evans-Thomlinson, radiographer Maria Punay, and assistant practitioner Nicola Glover. Standing are Toshiba Medical Systems account executive CT/MR/XR Graham King, x-ray sales specialist Johanna Cotton, hospital director Fergus Macpherson, Toshiba project manager Nik Codd and hospital diagnostic and imaging manager Anne Marsh.

Spire Liverpool Hospital has replaced its existing x-ray equipment with a Toshiba Ultimax-i x-ray fluoroscopy system that is enabling the hospital to broaden the scope of examinations it offers and increase efficiency.

Diagnostic imaging manager Anne Marsh said: “We selected the system because it is a multi purpose C-arm with an optional overhead x-ray tube and erect Bucky.  This gives us more functionality in a general room and allows us to expand our services to include such procedures as spinal injections, as well as all the usual fluoroscopic procedures.

“We have noticed a faster throughput and improved image quality.  Toshiba’s support was excellent, the project went very smoothly and the staff were extremely helpful throughout.”
