Subjectivity can be reduced with dosimetry kit

Sun Nuclear PC Electrometer

Sun Nuclear’s Electron Dosimetry kit brings together a range of products to provide a complete dosimetry kit, available in the UK from IEL.

Included is the 1D scanner, a 1D water tank for dosimetry measurements in water including output factors, dose calibrations, annual and routine QA. Set-up subjectivity is reduced with a water detection feature that automatically sets the dosimetry detector at the water surface.

This can be paired with the reference class PC Electrometer to deliver a measurement solution. This is a dual channel reference class electrometer used for absolute dose calibration. It is compact, takes less than one minute to warm up and the complete operation is through a USB, with no batteries or external power connection needed. Threshold detection allows for automatic measurement, and fast sampling makes PDD curves smooth and accurate when measured with the PC Electrometer and 1D scanner.

For electron reference dosimetry the SNC 350p is a waterproof, well-guarded, parallel plate ionisation chamber with a design that minimises perturbation effects. It is intended for reference, field and scanning dosimetry of therapeutic electron beams.
