Support is key for remote site in the Shetlands

At Gilbert Bain Hospital are, seated in front, radiographer Trevor Thompson and Philips Healthcare sales specialist Simon Bunce.  In the back row are department administrator Wilma McGhee, radiographers Susan Stopforth, Alison Rose, Lucy Wilson and Cheryl Haynes, imaging services manager Ann Smith, radiographer Jennifer Paton and Philips Healthcare account manager, Scotland, Douglas Cowie.

Gilbert Bain Hospital in the Shetland Isles has purchased a Philips BV Endura C-arm for general operating theatre use.   It joins other Philips systems at the hospital including a BV Libra surgical C-arm, a CT scanner, a fluoroscopy room and a CR room.

Imaging services manager Ann Smith said: “We opted for Philips because we have been very satisfied with the support they have given us.  As a very remote site, this is always a key consideration, when purchasing new equipment.”
