Third Aplio XG equips new room

The radiology department at South Tyneside Hospital has installed a Toshiba Aplio XG in its newly-built room, bringing the department’s number of Aplio XG systems to three.  The addition is expected to create more flexibility and throughput in the department.

Superintendent radiographer/lead sonographer Marilyn Wilkinson said: “We have Aplio XGs installed in our other scan rooms and we wanted to standardise our image quality as all systems have multiple users.  The scanners are user-friendly and reliable and the image quality is very good, particularly in our rapidly expanding MSK ultrasound service.”
