NHS Devon and South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust have bought two GE Logic E9 ultrasound systems for a new community hospital at Newton Abbot to provide an imaging service for South Devon GPs and outpatient clinics.

The hospital can now offer a mix of imaging lists including 20-week anomaly, gynaecological, abdominal, paediatric imaging, infant hip screening, musculoskeletal, small part and vascular lists from advanced practitioners, radiology consultants and vascular specialists.

The Logic E9 was chosen for its all-round imaging capability, advanced applications and ease of use as well as for its functionality. The machine is light, compact and has a fully height and rotation adjustable console and large flat screen to improve ergonomics.
