UCLH installs ultrasound to assist with endoscopy

Expanding gastroenterology and respiratory medicine services at UCLH have been equipped with Hitachi Hi Vision Preirus ultrasound systems to deliver the necessary high resolution imaging required for endoscopic and endobronchial examinations.

The pancreatobiliary department provides an advanced interventional endoscopy service for diseases of the pancreas and biliary tree, with more than 1,000 pancreatobiliary endoscopies performed each year.

The Hitachi Hi Vision includes an extensive range of ultrasound endoscopes including the slimline EG3270UK for therapeutic intervention, EG3670URK radial and EG1970UK endobronchial scopes for diagnosis of lung cancer, sarcoidosis and TB.
