Supported by Toshiba Medical Systems with sponsorship and equipment, the University of the West of England at Bristol hosted its third workshop to explore methods to reduce the effects of work-related musculoskeletal disorders in sonographers.
Demand to attend the workshop was so great that three separate days had to be organised, with numbers limited to 30 each day to ensure that everyone had the opportunity for personal guidance.
Medical ultrasound programme leader Viv Gibbs stressed that the aim of the workshop was not to provide a magic solution, but rather to introduce participants to a variety of ideas that could be taken back to the workplace to assess which would be of benefit.
