Vertec and Ashland deliver practical advice

Pictured with attendees at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, the last venue on a tour of the UK by Vertec Scientific and Ashland (ISP), inventors of Gafchromic film, are (front row, from left) Vertec specialist Mike Holroyd, Ashland scientific consultant Dr David Lewis, Ashland product developer Dr Andre Micke and Vertec specialist Michael Davis.
The group also visited Christie Hospital, Manchester, James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee and Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Aimed at new and existing users of Gafchromic film the format of this tour was to put more emphasis on to practical use and experience of EBT2/EBT3 film dosimetry with FilmQAPro software, including presentation and analysis of users’ own films, to give them the tools and knowledge to refine and develop their QA and dosimetry protocols.
