Toshiba Medical Systems account manager CT/XR/MR Mark Foxall, RVN Rosie Webb, veterinary surgeon Matina Giannikaki, RVN Emma Ponting and Optivet Referrals founder and principal veterinary surgeon Robert Lowe.

Optivet Referrals, in Havant, Hampshire, has acquired a refurbished Toshiba Aquilion CXL CT scanner.  Founded in 2006, the practice provides a range of services dedicated to referrals work.  Services offered include ophthalmology, internal medicine, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery and, with the installation of the new scanner, CT imaging.

For image reporting, the practice uses Cambridge-based VetCT, a specialist veterinary telemedicine reporting service.

Optivet Referrals founder and principal veterinary surgeon Robert Lowe said: “We chose Toshiba as it was able to reassure us that it understood and could execute every detail of this project.  As this was a new area and technique to add to our growing service we wanted to work with a company that cared enough to deal with a small business.  As expected, the CT machine was installed in the middle of our clinical area without interruption to our practice and the follow-up and training has been superb.”
