Tickets are on sale for AXREM’s inaugural members’ lunch and awards, featuring Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health Innovation and Safety Dr Zubir Ahmed MP and broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire. The event celebrates the achievements, innovation and collective impact of AXREM members across the healthcare sector. Taking place on April 30 at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London, it is expected to be a sell-out occasion.

Dr Ahmed brings a wealth of expertise as both a practising NHS transplant and vascular surgeon and a government leader responsible for NHS data and technology, medicines and MedTech, life sciences research, patient safety and clinical pathway reform. His perspective at the intersection of front-line medicine and health policy will set the tone for an insightful programme.

BAFTA, RTS and Sony Award-winning journalist, broadcaster and presenter Derbyshire is renowned for her career spanning BBC Radio 5 Live and her daily news and current affairs programme on BBC Two and BBC News. Her journalism has covered some of the most significant stories including Grenfell, 9/11 and the Manchester terror attack. As a breast cancer survivor, she has also been a patient herself, undergoing radiotherapy as part of her treatment and experiencing many of the diagnostic imaging technologies provided by AXREM members, giving her a personal perspective on their roles.

The event will shine a spotlight on the contributions of members who are driving innovation, inclusivity and sustainability across the healthcare technology sector.
