Increasing numbers of high BMI patients have prompted Wallsall Healthcare NHS Trust’s choice of two Philips ultrasound systems.  Superintendent sonographer Julie Hannon said: “We are a district general hospital with a very busy imaging department and chose the Philips iU22 and HD15 machines as replacement ultrasound systems to deliver good quality images of a range of examinations.

“Especially with the challenges presented by the increase in high BMI clients, the systems needed to have excellent ergonomics and ease of use, with a good range of lightweight transducers for our more specialist examinations.”
