Wardray Premise’s height-adjustable trolley reduces portering strain

Since its debut in early 2024, the MR5502 adjustable height trolley has proven to be a reliable, high performance solution for MRI departments seeking improved ergonomics and robust safety, according to manufacturer Wardray Premise. Manufactured in the UK and designed for MRI environments up to 7.0T, the trolley delivers a 300kg safe working load and is compliant with ISO 13485. According to Wardray, clinical teams have highlighted the benefits of the trolley’s central locking castor system, which simultaneously controls braking and directional locking through a simple foot bar. The company says this enables faster, more accurate manoeuvring, reducing portering effort and supporting smoother, safer patient transfers in time-pressured MRI suites.
“Infection control considerations were integral to the design, including a Velcro-free mattress that simplifies cleaning between patients,” Wardray says. “Feedback from early NHS sites has highlighted improved infection control and reduced portering strain.”
