Western General Hospital acquires flat panel C-arm

Philips UKI imaging account manager Louise Jones, Scottish Lithotriptor Centre lead radiographer Carol Ann Stephenson, Philips UKI interventional product specialist, mobile surgery, Simon Bunce and Scottish Lithotriptor Centre specialist radiographer Shirley Wallace.

Western General Hospital in Edinburgh has purchased a Philips Veradius Neo mobile C-arm for use in emergency theatre procedures.  Lead radiographer/PACS manager/clinical radiology Peter O’Byrne said: “The time had come to replace an image intensifier and the opportunity arose to acquire a flat panel system.  The equipment was chosen as it has an ergonomic design and utilises the same Philips user interface, enabling staff to use it pretty much out of the box.  The system is used primarily for urology work, but is easily at home in any theatre environment.”
