Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, has upgraded its x-ray rooms with five DigitalDiagnost 4.1 High Performance systems from Philips UKI.
Radiologists at the hospital have reacted positively on the image quality being achieved. Lead radiographer/PACS manager/clinical radiology Peter O’Byrne said: “When we were given the opportunity to replace all five conventional x-ray rooms in one go, we were looking for a system which could enhance our current facilities by giving us a comprehensive medical imaging service for our patients.
“We were looking for something that could handle our volume of patients, produce exceptional image quality and had a simple user interface with a choice of advanced functions. We decided to go with the Philips DigitalDiagnost 4.1 as this is a premium product and I believe it ticks all the boxes.”
