The County Hospital in Hereford, part of Wye Valley NHS Trust, has replaced a four-slice system with a 128-slice Toshiba Aquilion CXL cardiac optimised CT scanner.

Medical director and consultant radiologist Dr Peter Wilson said: “We chose the Aquilion CXL scanner as we find it very patient and operator friendly, and it delivers superb image quality with the possibility for cardiac/coronary imaging.

“We received very positive feedback from other sites using this particular scanner, and we have been very happy with our previous Toshiba CT scanners and the company’s service.”
