The University of Derby College of Health and Social Care’s x-ray room has been opened in a ceremony conducted by university vice chancellor Professor Kathryn Mitchell, College of Health and Social Care dean Dr Paula Crick and Society and College of Radiographers president Steve Herring.

“Our new equipment has exceeded all our expectations,” said senior lecturer in diagnostic imaging Chris Alvey.  “The Visionary Suite installed by Fujifilm is a fully integrated x-ray system that consists of state-of-the-art x-ray acquisition equipment with the latest image enhancement and post processing options.  It has an array of advanced image acquisition options, and the Synapse PACS image storage solution is superb.  Both systems together represent a future-proofed investment for the university.”
