Yorkshire-based healthcare service and sports injury imaging provider, LivingCare Imaging has undertaken more than 1,300 MRIs, ultrasounds and x-rays since it opened its doors last summer.  Referrals have come from over 20 professional sports clubs and institutions, as well as numerous private clinicians, including physiotherapists, GPs, osteopaths and chiropractors.

In 2017 LivingCare teamed up with athletes Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee to open a purpose-built clinic equipped with a private 3.0T MRI scanner.  The team has now carried out MRI scans on over 1,200 patients and 1,500 body parts since the clinic launched.  With Yorkshire being known as a key sporting region, in particular for marathons and triathlons, it is not surprising that knees have been the most popular body part to be scanned, followed by ankles and lumbar spines.

Medical director Dr Stephen Feldman said: “The year has been really exciting for our imaging clinic.  We not only brought together a team of highly trained experts, but also the latest scanning technology to the region in a purpose-built clinic.”
