Zenition C-arm modernises ways of working at Glangwili General Hospital

Glangwili General Hospital, Camarthen, is a major trauma centre in west Wales and part of Hywel Dda University Health Board. The hospital is an emergency unit and critical care unit alongside the clinical decisions unit, with approximately 320 beds. Services include surgical, medical, maternity, paediatric, gynaecology, clinical oncology and mental illness.
Recently, the hospital has installed a Philips Zenition 30 mobile C-arm system. Senior radiographer Matthew Davey said: “We have four Philips machines already and the staff love them.” Davey added that the Zenition 30 with its flat detector has modernised ways of working at the hospital because it is simple to use.

The Zenition 30 image-guided therapy system is designed to meet economic and business goals. The flat detector technology, advanced imaging algorithms and personalised IQ feature provide excellent image quality and dose efficiency, which support surgical teams to perform a variety of procedures. The Unique Surgeon Control with the Touch Screen Module assists users by allowing them more control, while Unify workflow promotes ease of use.
