In the radiotherapy CT sim pre-treatment department are CT clinical specialist Bernie McCafferty and radiographers Sarah Kelly and Emma Kerr.

Therapeutic radiographers in the North West Cancer Centre at Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Derry, Londonderry, have completed training in the use of the Bracco CT Exprès syringeless dynamic power injector.

“The CT Exprès is syringeless, with the benefit of no wasted contrast.  It’s a closed system delivering contrast and saline with four air detectors, reducing the risk of air embolism, and is very quick and easy to set up and use.  All the radiotherapy IV protocols have been set up on the injector and can be easily accessed and edited where necessary.  We have received exceptional help from the Bracco team in applications training and back-up service.”
