Team leader Mike Goalby and Guerbet business development manager Stephen Green with CT radiographers Kristian Fairclough, Olivia Blackburn, Abigail Hartley and Louise Douthwaite.

Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has benefitted from the installation of five new FlowSens CT injectors from Guerbet Laboratories.  The syringeless injectors, installed in Pontefract Hospital, Dewsbury and District Hospital and Pinderfields Hospital, enable the trust to be more time efficient than the previous system, which involved filling syringes with contrast for each patient.

“The installation of these injectors has contributed to greater efficiency in the department,” said clinical lead radiographer Ruth Clarke.  “The time taken to prepare the injectors between patients has reduced and it has enabled the use of patient-specific contrast dose to be undertaken more easily. We also have the benefit of being able to use a saline flush pre-and post-contrast with no additional costs in consumables.”
