Portable DR copes with tricky site and reduces dose

Sheffield Children’s Hospital operates across a site that combines a Victorian main building with more modern structures that have been incorporated over the years and so the hospital was looking for a mobile unit that could cope with the site’s more difficult spaces and access routes.

“We needed a user friendly and manoeuvrable DR mobile and the Fujifilm FDR nano has certainly given us that,” said deputy superintendent radiographer Christopher Heafey. “We find it very easy to move, it handles the many slopes with ease and its very small footprint makes positioning straightforward, even in small spaces.”
