Imaging in theatre reduces anaesthesia time at veterinary referral centre

Veterinary specialist referral centre Anderson Moores needed a solution to the logistical bottleneck it was facing in its surgical unit, where animals needed to be imaged out of theatre both before and after surgery. The solution chosen was the Fujifilm FDR nano mobile x-ray unit, which the team have nicknamed Nina.
“We were looking for a solution that would give us excellent image quality, was compact and easy to use and good value for money,” said head of imaging Petra Agthe. “The Fujifim FDR nano met all of our criteria and more. Because the unit is so compact it is used in our lead-lined theatre, meaning we no longer have to move surgical patients for imaging. This gives us more flexibility, a more efficient workflow and also means less disruption for the main x-ray room.”
