Prostate rectal spacer gel available to UK and Ireland customers

A partnership between Oncology Systems Limited (OSL) and Palette Life Sciences means OSL will become the exclusive distributor of Barrigel, supplying the NHS and private medical sector in the UK and Ireland.

Barrigel is a hyaluronic acid gel that is used to separate the rectum from the prostate, creating a healthy distance between the prostate planning target volume and rectum organs at risk, thereby helping to reduce rectal toxicity during radiotherapy.

We selected OSL as our exclusive Barrigel partner because of its 20 years of clinical knowledge, relationships and expertise in radiotherapy. We are very excited to work together with OSL to make Barrigel available to its extensive UK customer base,” said chief commercial officer at Palette Life Sciences Travis Gay.
