Team OIS goes the extra mile for radiotherapy
Oncology Imaging Systems (OIS) has participated in #Miles4Radiotherapy by joining in a virtual event to support Action Radiotherapy (now Radiotherapy UK).
“Action Radiotherapy is a charity dedicated to improving radiotherapy services across the UK, supporting patients and professionals and promoting the needs of radiotherapy with the Government,” states OIS. “It raises the profile of radiotherapy as a safe, effective and cost-effective treatment option for treating cancer.
“This is why we picked it as our charity of the month for October. The team took part in the #Miles4Radiotherapy event and racked up an incredible 1,525 miles. To celebrate we are also donating £1 for every mile we accumulated along the way to Action Radiotherapy to support its work.”
The idea of #Miles4Radiotherapy was to clock up as many miles as possible in any way possible, including swimming. The event is over but donations can still be made via a blog post on the OIS website.
