Boost for sonography at Stirling

Stirling Royal Infirmary, part of NHS Forth Valley, has installed four Acuson S2000 high specification ultrasound systems in its radiology and maternity departments. 

Two are in the maternity department where they are being used for detailed obstetric examinations.  An intuitive user interface, coupled with Siemens’ syngo Auto OB application, improves ease-of-use.

The other two systems are being used by the main radiology department for abdominal, gynaecology and vascular scans, plus a range of specialist musculoskeletal examinations.  Staff  report that the high frequency 18L6 High Density transducer is helpful in the  department’s one-stop Neck Lump Clinic.
