XG scanner takes pride of place

Obstetric lead Angela Lacy joins ultrasound lead (now retired) Mandy Brown, sonographer Jeanette McLeod, Toshiba ultrasound applications specialist Erica Oliver, trainee sonographer Rosie Biss and gynaecology lead Margaret Tovey.  With them is Beamish, the ‘hearing dog’.

 

The ultrasound department at Weston General Hospital in Weston-super-Mare now uses a Toshiba Aplio XG system for obstetrics, gynaecological and general ultrasound examinations.

 

Jane Baker, newly appointed as ultrasound lead, said: “We are very excited to have this latest model from Toshiba, as with its many technological advantages, we anticipate that it will greatly enhance our diagnostic capability.”
