Increasing impact of ultrasound imaging technology in the assessment of abnormal uterine bleeding
Abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) remains a major indication for gynaecological ultrasound examination. The causes of AUB are varied and very often present with co-existing pelvic pain. These elements were reflected within a large observational study carried out at Clinical Diagnostic Services, London, involving symptomatic patients referred for pelvic ultrasound over a period of more than 10 years.
