Radiography student honoured by university and MIS Healthcare

The University of Portsmouth has named its 2025 MIS Student of the Year for Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging. Elizabeth Cave won the award, which honours exceptional achievement in the discipline and is a collaboration between the university and medical technologies company MIS Healthcare. An award ceremony brought together industry professionals and members of university faculty to celebrate the potential of future healthcare leaders.
MIS Healthcare has forged a strong partnership with the University of Portsmouth’s diagnostic imaging team, aiming to enhance education through advanced technology. The collaboration has resulted in the installation of a Samsung GC85 x-ray room and GM85 mobile x-ray unit, giving students hands-on experience with these clinical imaging systems.
According to MIS, the facilities allow students to develop practical skills and confidence, ensuring they are prepared for the demands of real-world practice. By combining expert teaching with cutting-edge technology, the programme equips graduates to meet the evolving needs of healthcare with competence and compassion,” the company says.
