Integrated Radiological Services Limited received the Best Practice in Professional Development Award in recognition of its commitment to, and provision of, high quality training to physicists working in a small to medium enterprise.

The IoP Professional Standards Committee were impressed by IRS’s submission, citing the support from the senior management team as being particularly impressive.  Since its inception in 1988, IRS has recognised that only medical physicists trained to the highest standards can meet the demands of the modern healthcare industry.  “The quality of the medical physics training provided by IRS is evident as it continues to produce state-registered clinical scientists, certificated radiation protection advisers and laser protection advisers, and provide leading national and international experts in imaging science in diagnostic radiology while continuing to recruit, train and retain young scientists for a career in medical physics,” says IRS.  “The award from IoP is the culmination of those efforts to provide continual high quality training.”
