Lyfe Health in Bristol regards Esaote scanner a natural decision

Lyfe Health has installed an Esaote S-scan Open MRI scanner at its Bristol Downend site, in what the healthcare provider says is a significant step forward in making advanced diagnostic imaging more accessible outside of a traditional hospital setting.
Lyfe Health consultant physiotherapist Sam Wright led the purchase and installation of the new system. He said: “Since having the scanner on site, we have been able to diagnose patients more quickly and accurately, which means we can put the correct care pathway in place sooner and support better recovery outcomes. We already have one S-scan at another site, which has served us extremely well, so it was a natural decision to install another here in Downend.”
The scanner has an open design that is intended to improve patient comfort and facilitate faster positioning, while its compact footprint, low energy consumption and absence of cryogens are said to make it cost effective and environmentally sustainable, without compromising image quality.
Esaote applications specialist Bella Chavda said: “We are delighted to support Lyfe Health in expanding its diagnostic capabilities with a second S-scan system. Its vision of bringing advanced imaging into the community aligns perfectly with the strengths of the S-scan Open – efficient, accessible and designed around both patients and practitioners.”
