Wood Green overhauls facilities

On site at Wood Green animal rehoming centre are head of veterinary services Vanessa Cunningham, executive team manager, facilities, Paul Hunter, director of facilities Dave Morgan, Xograph veterinary territory manager Joanne Mellor and Xograph Healthcare ceo Peter Staff.

Wood Green, one of the largest animal rehoming centres in Europe, has undergone a £3.6 million redevelopment that includes a state-of-the-art surgery complex, housing an Xograph Imaging Suite.  This suite is a self-contained diagnostic facility incorporating the latest digital x-ray equipment for routine, general and dental veterinary imaging.

The development marks 25 years of animal welfare at the Godmanchester Centre near Huntingdon and the original surgery is over 20 years old with its ageing x-ray equipment positioned in a converted storage room.

Head of veterinary services Vanessa Cunningham said: “As an animal welfare charity it is really exciting that Xograph Healthcare has helped in the supply of our digital x-ray units as well as assisting us with the layout of the facility.  The equipment is simple to use and understand.”
