BNMS Annual Spring Meeting 2026

The annual spring meeting of the British Nuclear Medicine Society was held in Manchester last month. The three-day meeting had five clinical and scientific streams and celebrated the 60th anniversary of the BNMS. To reflect the role its has played in the advance of nuclear medicine in the UK, this year’s programme was designed to share new and upcoming developments within the profession, while also focusing on the past, present and future of nuclear medicine.

This year’s annual lecture Present and Future of Nuclear Medicine: A Darwinian Perspective was given by Professor Stefano Fanti from the University of Bologna, Italy. The RTN (radiographers, technologists and nurses) programme included practical insights into implementing and managing MRT services, sessions centred on wellbeing and the patient voice and discussions on enhancing patient experience across nuclear medicine services.
