RCR 2nd Annual Global AI Conference
June 29
June 30, 2026
The Royal College of Radiologists’ 2nd Annual Global AI Conference, Human + Machine: Clinician-Led AI for Tomorrow’s Healthcare, took place in June. Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event the theme was designed to reinforce its mission to ensure that as AI accelerates, it does so under the guidance of those who understand patient care best.
There were five specialised streams: AI education and research; future-ready AI; AI vigilance; clinical implementation and AI in practice. Each was designed to enable delegates to tailor the event to their needs and interests.
On Monday, Minister for Health Innovation and Safety Preet Kaur Gill MP, delivered a ministerial address. This was followed by professor of radiology, medicine and biomedical data science at Stanford University, California, Professor Curtis Langlotz, who discussed the future of radiology in the era of AI.
