Wrexham Maelor sets up one-stop urology clinic

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board ultrasonographers Beverley Ralphs and Sam Smith, student ultrasonographer Jennifer Williams, Toshiba Medical Systems applications specialist Paula Connor and ultrasonographer Carol Lloyd.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has purchased a Toshiba Aplio 500 ultrasound system to provide a one-stop urology clinic at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Superintendent sonographer of the hospital’s ultrasound department Carol Edwards said: “The versatility of the Aplio 500, including its ease of use and probe interchangeability were important factors in the board’s decision to purchase the equipment.”
