Flexible CT untethers Wansbeck’s radiologists
At Wansbeck General Hospital are Siemens Healthcare UK CT business manager Russell Lodge, radiographers Luci Ramsay and Rachael Hogg, consultant radiologist Dr Margaret Wilkinson, superintendent radiographer Pamela Kitto and Siemens northern sales manager Neil Lincoln.
Wansbeck General Hospital, part of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, has deployed a Somatom Definition AS+ CT system with syngo.via from Siemens Healthcare. The installation of syngo.via advanced visualisation software platform is helping power workflow processes using thin client technology.
“Since its installation, the Definition AS+ has proved invaluable in delivering comfort to bariatric, elderly and claustrophobic patients due to its wide bore,” said CT superintendent Pamela Kitto. “The system’s reputation for reliability made it attractive to us, while the combination of Safire and Care technologies has allowed us to use a noticeably low dose.”
