Voluson S8 meets the need for 4D ultrasound

At Spire Washington Hospital, Tyne and Wear, are GE Healthcare ultrasound sales specialist John Rimmer, imaging services manager Mark Pendleton and superintendent sonographer Marilyn Wilkinson.
Spire Washington Hospital’s imaging services manager Mark Pendleton recently took delivery of a GE Healthcare Voluson S8, one of the newly-launched Voluson Signature series. He said: “Following a rigorous investigation process of the field of 4D ultrasound and dedicated gynaecological-based ultrasound equipment we found that, of the systems evaluated, only GE Healthcare could demonstrate the 4D function to our satisfaction.
“In use, we have found its small footprint and portability makes it ideal for a small hospital environment enabling the scanner to be utilised in outpatient and radiology. GE Healthcare has provided a seamless service from purchase order to delivery and attended to our individual needs.”
