Single generator for twin gantry saves space

St George’s Hospital, Tooting, has recently taken delivery of a Wolverson X-ray general DR room with Carestream DRX1 digital detector to support eight-bay resus trauma centre. The project involved a twin auto-positioning gantry working from a single generator. Ease of use and overall functionality, accompanied by responsive service support, are said to have made it an ideal choice for the busy department. The installation and building work were completed with the minimum disruption to workflow.
Superintendent radiographer Ian Stark said: “With limited space, the twin auto-positioning gantry was ideal. It is very easy to switch between tubes when necessary, giving us effective and efficient working practices.”
