Medray Imaging Systems and the Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy (IIRRT) announced the winners of the inaugural Irish X-ray Awards to attendees at the IIRRT Annual Conference.

Following an online poll, site visits and patient input, the department of the year award 2012 went to the radiation oncology department at Cork University Hospital, while the hospital’s Theresa O’Donovan was judged radiation therapist of the year.  She said:  “I think it is a wonderful initiative to recognise departments and individuals for their contribution to patient care. I am delighted to accept this award.”
