Mount Vernon regenerates x-ray department

At Mount Vernon Hospital are Toshiba Medical Systems’ Stephen Whale, consultant radiologist Dr Robin Kantor, radiographer Rosina Shivani, senior radiographer David Matby and superintendent radiographer Russell Hicks.
Mount Vernon Hospital, London, has chosen a Toshiba Ultimax-i multi-purpose screening room as part of the x-ray department’s regeneration programme.
The room is now being used for barium studies, salpingograms and spinal injections as well as aiding Hickman line and port line insertions for the patients at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. The hospital has a modern diagnostic and treatment centre and is part of the Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Superintendent radiographer Russell Hicks said: “Staff have been using the Ultimax-i since the latter part of 2012 and have found the equipment easy to use, providing good quality images for diagnosis. Aftersales care has been attentive, with good applications support and service back-up too.”
