Good Hope expands services with wide bore

At Good Hope Hospital are MRI superintendent radiographer Claire Hughes, consultant radiologist Morgan Cleasby, Philips Healthcare MR modality field specialist David Horton, deputy radiology manager Marie Peplow, Philips key account manager Matthew Smith and MR superintendent radiographer Rakesh Puni.
Good Hope Hospital, Birmingham, has replaced an existing MRI scanner with a Philips Ingenia 1.5T system.
MRI superintendent radiographer Claire Hughes explained that the Philips equipment was chosen after it was judged best in an evaluation of wide bore scanners, offering the range of scan examinations required with the bonus of a wide bore for less claustrophobic scans and new coil technology for better coil signal.
