It’s a Royle occasion as Blue Sky imaging suite opens

Staff of the Blue Sky imaging suite watch Peter Martin cut the ribbon.

Ribbon cutting duties at a £3.17 million imaging suite at Scunthorpe General Hospital have been performed by a cast member of The Royle Family.

Peter Martin, who played Joe Carroll in the TV show and has appeared in Emmerdale and Last of the Summer Wine, officially opened the Blue Sky imaging suite assisted by patient representative Margaret Tong.

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s head of CT and MRI Ruth Kent said: “We were delighted that Peter kindly took time out to come and officially open our imaging suite.  It is especially nice as he is a former patient of ours.  The event enabled us to showcase the high quality diagnostics we offer local patients.”
