Breast health campaigner helps open Dowie Suite
Boot Out Breast Cancer charity chair Debbie Dowie opens The Dowie Suite at Thomas Linacre Centre in Wigan.
The official opening of The Dowie Suite at Thomas Linacre Centre in Wigan has been performed by Boot Out Breast Cancer chair Debbie Dowie and MP for Leigh Rt Hon Andy Burnham.
A Faxitron CoreVision specimen system and EnCor Enspire breast biopsy system, supplied by Daax Limited are delivering the very latest technology to the South Lancashire NHS Breast Screening Service.
Superintendent radiographer Karen Hindley said: “The equipment has made the whole biopsy procedure more efficient for us and, most importantly, our patients. The vacuum biopsy improves targeting of the lesion while the image quality of our Faxitron CoreVision confirms their presence within the specimen instantly.”
