BMUS 2013 gets underway in Gateshead

The Deputy Mayor of Gateshead Neil Weatherley and his wife Hazel opened the drinks reception held in the exhibition hall at the end of the first day of BMUS.

They are pictured left, with BMUS scientific organising committee chair Borsha Sarker, presenter of the BMUS live event Dr Simon Elliott from the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle and BMUS president Professor Paul Sidhu.

The reception was sponsored by Philips Healthcare.
