Royal Free Hospital, London, has installed a Tema Synergie Karl 100 PET infusion system in its nuclear medicine physics department.  Supplied by Imaging Equipment Limited, the Karl 100 was selected for its 90 per cent operator dose reduction, improved workflow and better management of FDG. Patient benefits include never being connected to the multi-dose mother vial with no risk of patient-to-patient contamination.

Head of nuclear medicine Daniel McCool said: “We really like the aspects the Karl 100 offers us – safety for both our operators and patients.”
